This is the best remote under $20 ever made!. I have a Norcent TV and Durabrand DVD (recent purchases from Wal-mart). The new stuff works great, but my sat. universal remote could not be programmed for the TV (for volume mainly). I found this remote. It has a 'learning' function. You just set your old remote next to this one and it reads the IR signal so you can program each function to the new Phillips remote. If you need a remote that will work the virtually everything, this is it! It has functions for TV/VCR/DVD/Cable/Satellite.
