Pros: One cordless set for two different phone lines
Cons: The the quality of the audio of my greeting was ATROCIOUS.
The Bottom Line: Only if you need two line cordless and you do not care if the recordings are VERY, VERY poor.

Last Weekend (08/17-18/02) I purchased the AT&T product "2-Line Corded/Cordless Answering System 2462" for $229.99 from Office Depot. It has been a disaster.
Manual and the instructions are OK.
Unit comes with a ONE PAIR modular plug wire and a normal two pair wire. If you do not read the manual VERY, VERY carefully you will grab the ONE PAIR wire and get frustrated that the 2nd line does not work.
The quality of the audio of the greeting you record is ATROCIOUS. It was distorted, muffled, and sounded like I was talking through a tin can. An incoming message is just as bad.
The audio is so bad that I can not use the answering system on my 2nd line, a business line.
It took three trips to the store for 3 different units to decide that "what I hear" is what I get.
