Pros: good range

Cons: terrible reception, zero battery life

What has happened to cordless phones? Do they all suck? I bought a Panasonic to replace one I bought in 1991, which had started to deterioriate. But the new ones, with the Ni-Cd batteries, just don't compare to my old model. I don't need a mile wide radius, I just need decent reception in my home, and this phone doesn't cut the mustard The battery life has been dwindling to the point that I can't make it through a 45 minute conversation on a full charge. And the sound quality is terrible--people are always complaining about it, and asking me to speak up. I paid over a hundred bucks for this phone, thinking its price indicated reasonable quality. But I was wrong.
