This phone has its ups and downs, like most things you will buy in life. I've had it for about 2 years now and all things considered, I would have to say I got a good deal. I bought it for roughly $100 from a local Wiz store.
There is a good number of quality factors that this phone has. The sound is almost always crystal clear and I rarely, if ever, have any kind of trouble with static. Another nice feature is the easily accessible volume control right on the side of the phone. It comes in handy when I'm talking to a friend before I go to bed and I don't want the volume to be as loud.
Another positive feature is the caller ID. The LCD display is right on the phone and very easy to operate. It stores your last 50 calls and it supplies the name and number and time of call. You can also delete any numbers you wish, or you can clear the whole ID in one shot.
You can store up to 20 phone numbers in the memory, which is also very easy to operate. You can look it up once in the manual and a minute later you'll be setting all the numbers you please.
One of the problems I faced after owning the phone for a few months was the quality of the phone as I got farther away from the base. When I first bought it I tested the phone out to see how far away from the base I could safely go and I went down my street a little bit and it was still fine. Now I sometimes lose connection when I am on my deck, which is not very far away from the base. This is not a terrible problem considering I don't often walk down my street to talk to someone on the phone, but technically I suppose it could be a problem for other people considering buying this phone.
In summation, I think this is a good quality phone and would be useful for a person who is using it leisurely. If you operate a business or feel a need for a very very reliable phone, then I suggest spending a little more for a bit more of a reliable phone. Peace and love.
