| Heimdall's Full Review: Vtech VT 1920 900 MHz - Cordless Phone |
Well, you may have read my experience with the Sony SPP-S9101, and I purchased this phone on 4/29/2000 based on the favorable recommendations here at Epinions.
I was originally interested in the 1922 version which has a headset jack, but most of the internet sites were out of stock, as were local vendors, but I did find this model, and picked it up.
The unit is easy to setup, and the base station actually takes up less space than previous cordless phones I used. The handheld unit is also smaller, and much lighter than the Sony.
From a user perspective, the best features are "any key" answer - if the phone rings, hitting any key but Off will pickup the phone. The unit also features four different ringer settings, which is very favorable if you hate annoying high pitched rings.
The Caller ID menus are much easier to work with than the Sony, however I wish there was a way to move a item from the Caller ID memory to the 20 permanent memory stores. This however is a minor issue.
The clarity of the phone call is excellent, I was able to walk 200 yards without any noise. The unit also features a Hold and Mute setting, which come in very handy if you are interrupted on a regular basis.
Overall, this is a great phone, and I plan to get alot of use out of it.
