Pros: Flashy color, choice of green and purple, lights up when rings..
Cons: After 3 returns, got one that works.. has as many moods as it does features..
The Bottom Line: If you choose to go with this product anyways, be sure to
hang on to the box for awhile in case you need to mail it
back to Vtech.

| lfitz_01's Full Review: Vtech VT 9111 900 MHz - Cordless Phone |
This is one of those situations where if I could turn back the clock, I would stay away from this company's products. Yes, I finally got a cute, functioning, economical, multi-featured, flashy fun phone, but the hell I went thru to get it going was not worth the trouble of buying it.
Backtrack: I went to the Bradlee's closing out sale last year when everything was 30% off. If I didn't need the phone, I would've held out longer, but I was content with 30% at the time. After the painstaking decision of purple or green, my daughter and I went with purple. The phone seemed appealing enough for the money:
-900 mhz hi freq
- 40 channel operation
- 40 name and number CID memories
- 10 speed dial memories
- ringer on/off selection
- visual message waiting indication
- headset compatible
- redial
- caller ID
So, I get the phone home, charge it up, it never works.. I bring the phone back to Bradlees, they tell me they can't take phones back on a closing sale, to return it to the phone company. I call the phone company, they walk me thru a process that does not work with the phone, I call them back.. they tell me to return the phone.
I get the phone back from them, I charge it up, it works for two days, it stops working.. again I return the phone, not feeling I had a choice in the matter, they send it back to me.. it works.
Twice I wrote very nasty letters to Vtech about the poor service and poor quality of the product, they did not offer me anything, nor did they offer to reimburse postage, but they did send me prepaid labels should I need to return the phone again.
Folks, I know I am among the company of very intelligent people here, and I don't believe anyone out there would consider this to be anything near acceptable service. I
may be the owner of a product I'd rather not have right now, but Vtech can believe that I'll never buy another of
their products again. With all the competition out there I can't understand why I have to chase after Vtech and not have them bend over backwards accomodating me..
So, after 6 months or so of having this unwelcomed product in my home, the phone generally works properly (the main problem I had was in the battery department) but I am not happy with the sound quality, the redial feature is not reliable, which is most frustrating when trying to win something on the radio, and the headset is a bit heavy and awkward, but that could be unavoidable due to the many features it offers, I'm not really sure about that, and it's not that troublesome, I just prefer a lighter phone.
I think I have to say I'm more peeved with Vtech than I am with the phone, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like doing business with this unprofessional company.
