With VTech, it is hit and miss with their products, luckily this phone is home run and redeems their company name.
My past experience with VTech phones lead me to belive that certain models were very poorly made. The 9001, for instance, had poor battery performance, weak signal range, and sound quality on both the receiving and sending end was far below par.
This model is durable, the battery life is passable, and both sound quality and range are top notch.
Don't let the low price scare you away from these phones, they are packed with all the features you'll ever need in a phone...and none of the ones you'll never use.
Key Points:
* The page feature will continually page until you go find the phone. This is a lot better than the old page and see if you can find the general part of the house it's in.
* The range is great. I have gone almost a block with this unit with great sound quality.
* Volume is adjustable at the headset without any distortion.
Key Drawbacks:
* No Illumination. This can be tough in the dark, but saves on the batteries.
* Battery life could be stronger, but you'll get an hour or two on a charge.
All around this is a fine phone worthy of the price. Highly recommended for teens, dorm rooms, secondary phone, or really any application.
I really can't say enough about this fine phone, but buy it.
