Nowadays, most affordable video editing software suites are alike. Pinnacle is no exception. With this software you'll get the standard utilities you can expect to get with a dozen other, equally affordable programs. However, with the solitary exception of Windows Movie Maker, Pinnacle offers more crashes, bugs, and overall frustration than the rest. After a few crashes, files become uneditable. Add-ons that come free with competitors are buy-as-you-go upgrades here. The Menu builder is tragically bass-ackwards (knowing readers nod in unison). Burn to DVD either results in skippy DVDs or out-of-sync audio (their tech reps' advice? Alter your registry!). Worse yet, PC upgrades do nothing to alleviate these problems.
