I heard from many sales people that Pioneer decks were definately their favorite. I like everything about it except for the flip down face plate. Pioneer tried to get a little to fancy with this style removable face plate. The spring mechanism broke soon after I installed it, so the nice slow release no longer works. Putting the face plate back on is to say the least, tedious. Two small pins act as the pivot and are very difficult to re-align. Every time I put it on, I am afraid I am going to break the hinge-pivot off all together. I would leave the face plate on, but the exact same stereo was stolen out of my car two weeks after I installed that one. I would have choose a different brand, but I needed a Pioneer head to run the Pioneer CD changer that came in my used car. I do like the pre set equalizer settings to customize for different music. Two self-programmable settings are also avaliable. For any one who needs to remove your face plate for theft resistance, any of Pioneers flap face models are definately not recommended. Otherwise they are good car stereo's.
