| lmpere's Full Review: Pioneer DVR 106 DVD±RW Burner |
When I was initially looking for a DVD burner, I decided to get an entry level DVD burner. I didn't want to spend too much money on another "Toy". So I waited until the dual format DVD burners came out and the single format DVD burners dropped in price. When the time came, I went in for the kill. I bought a Verbatim DVD+R burner (made by Ricoh). I ended up saving $100. I was proud of my purchase. Then I went home and began learning all I could about burning DVDs. To make a long story short, I began to find that I purchased a coaster maker. I kept getting errors during the burning process or errors after putting the DVD into the DVD player.
After about 2 months of tinkering around with it, I gave up. I went out and bought the Pioneer DVR 106 (dvr-106) DVD±RW Burner. Suddenly DVD burning became fun. I could finally burn my DVDs without write errors half way through the burn. No more coasters. The money that I saved initially was lost from the coasters alone. Not to mention the time, energy, and frustration of having to figure out what I was doing wrong. I should have gotten the Pioneer DVD burner in the first place.
