I did some research before buying this receiver and found it lots of bells and whistles for a little less than $300 when I bought it in May 2003. This appeared to be a good value compared to other systems for the same price. It also got a very good review from C-Net. I found it fairly easy to set up and even managed to make the universal remote work with my TV, DVD Player and Cable Box with little difficulty. I have now had it for almost six weeks and have really nothing to complain about. An on screen display would have been nice instead of the dot matrix display on the receiver, but for this price with all of its other features that is not a big deal.
