Opinion Summary
Huey Lewis and The News - Plan B: ...just play that old-time rock and roll
by bob_tomato | Sep 02 '04
Pros: Huey and the boys still bring it – a classic bar rock/R&B blend for Everyman
Cons: Looking for that eighties News sound? Won't find it here (that's a Pro for some)

I am amazed anyone caught that... Ten points for schillermaphone! to be completely honest, I didn't even notice it until I was changing the Kid A link in my main profile info.

fortunately for all of you, it's not a planned series - though my next review could certainly be titled King of the High C's (kenny loggins)

perhaps a vitamin C review?

So your first music review after your brilliant Kid A express business (which did receive a couple of 'don't show' votes from site stalwarts, to my (and hopefully your) delight) is a disc called Plan B.

Don't tell me you're going to break the bourgening pattern?! Come on...do Moxy Fruvous' 'C'. You know you want to.

Ah well. It was worth a shot.

Let's just say that they don't issue Falsetto Alerts down by the old lumber mill... unless some large bearded man gets his boys caught in the works

So, lemme get this straight. You're either working on a review of an album by a guy who appeared on basically every movie soundtrack of the 1980s... OR, you've gotten a chainsaw and have taken up timber sports.

Either way, your comment excites me.

How does it feel to be writing in complete sentences again? Well, I had to go through a short rehabilitation period, in which I could only form complete sentences in response to write/off questions, but it seems to have worked. I'm back on track, and hey nifty! I've published something every day in September so far...

(that's crickets you hear in that space above)
Anyway, back to it - got some LOGGINsG to do (hint hint)

awash in falsetto

Hey! We have a Thunderbird in our garage! A red one. Ummm... and yeah, I think it's a '97. James says that it's like the last model year before they discontinued it??? Is that right? Is it back?

I'm just as clueless about cars as most folks are about Huey Lewis's post "I Wanna New Platinum Record" days. I've been so close to picking this CD up, but haven't yet.

And dammit, I missed it when they played up by the Leinenkugel's brewery this summer.

By the way: how does it feel to actually be writing in complete sentences?
