| krenablunschi's Full Review: Polaroid PDV-0800 8 in. Portable DVD Player |
I bought this DVD player for my children to view in my van. I wanted a screen large enough for them both to enjoy and I didn't want to pay alot for it. The screen looks good no matter what angle you view it from. The sound is a little "tinny" sounding but not enough to complain about and it sounds great when using head phones (which my kids are usually using so hubby and I can have some peace and quiet, lol) The cover for the DVD is a little flimsy but since my children are young they aren't allowed to touch it anyway so that is really not a concern.
After doing a ton of research, I decided on the Polaroid 8" portable. The screen size was a major pro and the compact size was great. I haven't come across a format that this player won't play. DVD, SVCD, it will do it all!!!! I have had no problems and my kids love it so much that if they are in the van, they are watching the player. No overheating or freezing up that I had heard or read about from buyers of other players. I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a DVD player.
