Pros: Solidly built, for the money.
Cons: Poor FM radio reception. Poor volume and sound quality.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this item, mainly due to its poor radio reception and the CD cutting out.

| gatorally's Full Review: Aiwa CSD-TD901 Cassette/CD Boombox |
I bought this boombox to replace my Panasonic after its tape player died. The tape function was not why I bought it, though. I really wanted a boombox to use while doing home repairs, and working in my workshop. For the $50 or so that I paid for it, I suppose I got what I paid for. However, the sound quality lacks depth. More importantly, you will need to crank the volume to the max if you are, say, in another room and trying to hear this baby. My biggest gripe about it, though, is its extremely short antenna (maybe size DOES matter), which may be why I can't seem to clearly tune in the 80's FM rock station I love, and which I can easily pick up on my car stereo (or my Panasonic boombox, which I am glad I kept). It almost seems like the antenna was an afterthought. It is the shortest one I have seen on any radio, bar none. Have yet to use this box for AM radio, so I won't comment on AM reception. Mine also cuts out occasionally while playing a CD, then starts again. Have yet to figure that one out. Ironically, after buying this box, I am instead using my Panasonic in the workshop. The Panasonic is far superior, even with a busted tape deck. Would think twice about buying this brand again.
