| tinsnip_dt3000's Full Review: Panasonic SL-MP35 Personal CD Player |
This player was actually a trade-in for me. I made the mistake of buying the finicky TDK Mojo, which died only two months later. At first I was skeptical, but after a week of ownership, I am more impressed with the Panasonic player.
It sounds marvelous, and the expected battery life of 35 to 40 hours trounces anything else similar out there. It also looks natty enough. However, it feels flimsy - dropping this could crack it easily. Mine came with included earbuds, which went into the garbage immediately; they were uncomfortable and tinny-sounding. Finally, the display isn't perfect; you can only see one line of text, and it truncates song names more often than not. However, I'll trade text for long battery life, as I usually just throw it on random play anyhow.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a basic player that will stay in a secure place most of the time (eg. purse) and that won't need frequent battery changes.
