| gski's Full Review: Panasonic SL-S292 Personal CD Player |
If you need a cd player that you want to have for a long time this is the one you want.
It has a sleak compact design(about as compact as you can get with a cd player), 10 second anti skip, 22 hour battery life. which isn't bad, but we always want more right.
The anti-skip works great but might skip a few times if you plan to exercise with this on, but if you are just hanging on the city bus or whatnot it works fine and is more than enough. So those of you who say 10 second anti-skip isn't enough, this one proves it is.
One of the best assets of this cd player is the cd holder itself you don't have to pry out your cd to get it out just simply push where it says "push" and your cd pops out easily.
This cd player has lots of features the basic play and stop buttons, along with the next and previous track buttons also. It has of course the anti-shock button something you would expect if you are paying high dollars for your merchandise, and a sxbs button for more quality bass for your songs.
You can swith up the order of the songs on your cd by changing the setting from normal, resume, or random, if you get bored with the same song sequence. And if you don't want your cd player playing while you are not listening there is the ever so popular hold button. Which I must say is the best thing since sliced bread on a cd player. Don't get caught during school with a cd in your backpack, simply press hold and no suspicious sound coming from your backpack. It also saves battery life. That is always good.
Aside from the earphone jack there is also a jack to insert a dc wire so you can plug your cd player into an outlet. I didn't get one of those when I bought the cd player, so to me that part is pretty much useless, but maybe you will find some use to it.
The only complaint I have about this cd player is the fact that you must turn up the volume really high to like 5 or 6 just to hear the song. So no cheap headphones with this one. I would recommend the kind that you can turn up and down on the wire, that way you dont have to worry about the volume on the cd player.
Overall this a great cd player and definetly holds up through time, it can take a fall or several and still work good as new. So get some AA batteries ready and bust out your cd collection and take a listen.
