Pros: While it functioned, it was good.
Cons: Different headphones = better sound; malfunctioned near end of warranty; customer service; extra $10.
The Bottom Line: Would purchase similar from a different company (and I will in the near future). Customer service is bad AND a rip-off. Quirky usage even when it did function.

I had received the RipFlash Plus as a b-day gift almost exactly 1 year (the warranty period) to the day that it no longer functioned. When I initially got it, it was difficult to download music and I eventually found that by plugging it into the USB port before even turning on my computer, I could get music to download. And for 10 months it seemed to function well.
Then came the day when it would not allow me to download new music into it, even after erasing everything on the unit. Over the next 6 weeks I corresponded with the tech support and tried updates and various other things they suggested to no avail. Finally they said send it to us and we'll repair it or replace it (under warranty).
I have just received my replacement unit which I had to pay $9.99 for because "the unit I returned" (which was irreparable according to Pogo), had two small scratches on the side. I am considering this to be shipping b/c I have just payed extra on a unit that they can't even refurbish and resell. I received in return, no continuance on the original purchase warranty (it arrived at my home after the warranty was expired) and a unit which also DOES NOT FUNCTION! for the extra $9.99.
I will not purchase another Pogo product. They have perfected having their product malfunction just before the warranty expires and I still have to go and buy a new unit but I'm out an extra $10.
Maybe RIO has better customer service and a better product.
