| TommyGrrlX's Full Review: Rio PMP-300 (32 MB) MP3 Player |
First off, lemme say this: It's worth the money... I love mp3's because I can sample tracks before I buy them... Or, put my CD's on to my computer and then have the CD upstairs... Great! But when I didn't have the CD, it sucked when I wanted to hear a song that I had on mp3 but not on CD.
Then I hear about the Rio... Awesome piece of machinery... But $200? No way... The price drops, as expected, and I think, well, I'll get one now. I ended up paying a little over $100, and I have a $50 mail in rebate. Ends up being like $65. I like that price! No more then a CD player.
I finally got my Rio... WOW! It's just what I needed... Portable, GREAT sound, easy interface, no complications installing the software, everything went as it was supposed to!! Plug-n-Play for once! And it's great... No brainer buttons... Works for about 15 hours with one AA battery, and doesn't skip.. Great! My only beef with it is when the mp3 is a higher quality (over 96kbs), they hold less of them. Only 8... Though, when the mp3s are ripped at 96kbs, it can hold 12, which is normally a whole CD. Not bad... It's worth the money. Shop around online. shop.theglobe.com is where I got mine...
