Pros: VERY light, long battery, my very first MP3 player
Cons: Odd on/off switch, hard to touch volume controls while running, no play list
The Bottom Line: OVERALL, I would have to say that I paid $40 for this unit on eBay and I am very pleased with the results.

| pdpig's Full Review: Rio S10 (64 MB) MP3 Player |
I am a person who prone NOT to read the owners manuels on anything. Without consulting any documentation at all, I was about to figure out how to use this thing with great ease. It uploads music very fast. It took me about 2 minutes to upload 16 songs while I took a water break from raking leaves.
As with the other people reviewing this product, I have also found that the on/off switch was a little odd. But, in all honesty, I only use that once while using the unit, so, who really cares. Now, the play/pause/stop/forward/rewind buttons you use more often and all of those are of great ease to use even while running or crossing the streat, or while raking the lawn.
Being that this is my first MP3 player, it was a little bit of a learning experience. I didnt really know how much 64 megabytes really holds. And, all in all, I kindof wish that it held more, but, thats what the extended memory slot is for {and, I am looking for them on ebay now}. What is nice, is that the memory card it uses, is a stardard memory card that is also used for other products such as my Palm Pilot, and Digital Camera {Smart on behalf of Rio to use a "standard" memory card that is used by multiple products.
I am a little concerned about it getting wet from light rain while I am working in my lawn. Obviously it is not water resistant, but, I think that it would be nice if it was.
I am VERY impressed with the sound qaulity. It sounds equal if not better than a CD player and it runs forever on one little "Walgreens" brand double "A" battery. The display is easy to understand, but, there really isnt a menu to scroll up or down on.
OVERALL, I would have to say that I paid $40 for this unit on eBay and I am very pleased with the results of this item. Once I get the extended memory slot filled with a memory card, I will be able to listen to my tunes for hours and hours on end.
