Pros: Ease of use, size of unit.
Cons: Cheap case and belt clip.
The Bottom Line: The player itself is wonderful. Just don't expect the clip to last forever. And without the clip, you'll have to carry it or put it in your pocket.

| ddoan's Full Review: Rio Sport S30S (64 MB) MP3 Player |
I purchased the Rio S30S in 12/03 and have loved using it at the local gym ever since. I do agree with other reviewers regarding the poor FM reception, and the navigation buttons getting bumped a lot. The most frustrating piece of this product is the case. As others have said, the holes in the case do not line up with the buttons on the player and after using this for about 10 months, the belt clip broke and I can not find a replacement for it. Has anyone ever found a place to buy a replacement clip or case? I called Rio twice (no 800 number) and after about 15 minutes total time between talking and waiting was told they were out of stock and they didn't know when they would get more. When they do, the price is $10.95 + $6.95 + Tax = around $20!! (For a cheap piece of plastic). Customer service was very nice on the phone; but not very helpful. If someone has found a place to get replacement parts, please respond to this review.
Other than all that, the actual player is very nice. Easy to use software and download via USB to the player is a breeze. The stopwatch function is nice when running laps. Earbuds are acceptable. If it wasn't for the case, this would be an excellent product.
