My second Rio, the S30S

Pros: Light, comfortable, easy to use, reasonable battery life.
Cons: FM Tuner doesn't always work.
The Bottom Line: A reasonable purchase. I am pleased. Easy to use, understand, and download information onto.

I had an S10 Rio originally. Decided it was time to upgrade. So, I waited until I found a good price on eBay, and got it.
I was pleased with the fact that it used the same soft wear as my old product, which aided to the ease of understanding of the product.
I was disappointed to learn that my 512 megabytes multimedia card from Sand Disk is not compatible with the model Rio. I was all kinds of weird problems with this new product. At first, I thought it was because I must have received some malfunctioning unit off of a vendor on eBay. Then, I decided to phone customer service and they asked me if I was using a SD MMC. I told them that I was, and they instructed me to use any MMC OTHER than SD. Evidentially, SD makes there cards in "layers" which is hard for Rios to read. I don't know what a "layered" memory card is, but, I got a new one that is not SD, and I don't have any problems.
Ear buds are comfortable, and loud enough to make me happy. The battery life makes it thru a whole day of raking leaves {which is one of the reasons as to why I have an MP3 player}. The armband is comfortable, although I don'tuse it because I think I look kind of dorky wearing an MP3 on my arm. The case that it came with doesn't really allow a user to have enough room to control the buttons, but, it does its job too.
All in all a good product, although I think that it should tell you know to purchase SD brand memory cards to prevent someone like me from being inconvenienced.
FM Tuner doesn't work all the time when I am in the basement at work. Then again, I am covered by about 2 feet of concrete.
I will most likely purchase another Rio.
