Cons: Earphones are weak, not sound-wise, but durability.

I was searching for a portable MP3 Player with sufficient amt of space, small, recharageable battery life, FM radio, and at a decent price. Many people recommended the iPod to me, but with its expensive price and non-FM radio capability it just turned me off and I opted for the Rio istead. I am not very picky with electronics as long as it serves its purpose (for me at least). I purchased this item from doing compare prices at epinion and I bought it in Sept 2003 for about $125 free shipping and no tax. It was a decnet deal as prices will always depreciate as time goes on. This little machine has served its purpose on my commute every day on the nyc subway esp. with my radio listenings in the morning.
One complaint -- The earphones on this badboy is not very sturdy. I always wrap it around the body when I'm done with for easy storage and no tangling, but I guess in stretching it, it has made a tear at the base of the string to the mp3 player so I can only hear sound from the left earphone. Its not that big a deal beacues earphones cost next to nothing. But that is just one complaint I have with it. But w/o, it has served its purpose for me.
