After accidentally crushing my Nomad II (don't ask!!!), I immediately started searching around for a replacement. I wanted an FM radio, the ability to add more memory, and it had to be small and not cost a fortune. After looking around for a couple of days, I came across the YP-700.
It is a remarkably small MP3 player! It sounds great! The FM tuner (which is built into the remote) sounds a little muffled, but it is okay for listening to PBS talk shows. The sound quality is excellent - but do use decent headphones - not those that come with it!
The AAA standby battery pack that comes with it is a great idea. The internal Ni-Mh battery lasts for ages, the backup battery pack can be used when it is re-charging.
I don't really like the way tracks fade-in... but I'll live with it. The explorer software that comes with the unit does the job.
Bottom line: This is a wonderful MP3 player!!!!
