Pros: variable low + high pass crossovers, feels solid, price
Cons: bass boost (it's sort of a give and take situation), hard to tell the exact Hz on the crossovers

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I purchased this amplifier. I saw the plexiglas window and twin VU Meters and figured that they were flashy items meant to mask an otherwise poor amp but this ended being a little too much of a premature judgement on my part.
I eventually got it hooked up to my set of 10" Aura subs in a box. It has quite a lot of crossover options and i ended using the bass boost and tweaking the low pass crossover settings until it sounded good. The bass boost is sort of a give and take.. it gives you more bass but takes away some of the clarity so you'd have to adjust the crossovers and to compensate. Also when adjusting the crossovers it's hard to tell how many hz you're at although in practice you mainly just fiddle with it to see whether it sounds better or worse.
This amp is definitely not forgiving if you have lower gauge wiring then it recommends and if you didn't separate the preamp cables from the power and ground wires. Pushing the gain up would make it distort when I used it. But after redoing the wiring to good specs it sounded much, much better with the gain up. All in all the sound that comes from this amp is all dependant upon how well a person is able to use what they have in their hands. If a person is inexperienced with crossover settings than I suggest getting an amp without the fully variable crossover points and just get one with a standard low pass crossover as their is a lot less stress involved but less customization ability though.
The amps fins are good are good at dissipating heat and are very sharp.. so I'd watch my fingers if I were you. The twin VU Meters don't serve much more of a purpose except so one can "oooh" and "ahhh" at being able to see how much volts are pumped through the channels when they feel and hear the beat. I don't like the plexiglas window much either because it's bound to start scuffing up later in it's lifetime so I left on the clear sticker (meant to protect the glass in shipping) on. They window and VU meters do impress other people and the amp glows a nice blue when it's dark in the car.
With all the money I spent on this amp I feel it is a pretty good deal and it has worked pretty well so far and I plan to buy another later on to power my four car speakers. Although were I to have bought it at the $300 it retails for I would have looked around at the other models first before settling with this one. If you want this amp at the same price I bought it go to Netmarket.com and it should still be in stock.
