Nice little power slicer

Pros: Small storage space, powerful motor and easy cleanup.

Cons: Attached power cord.

The Bottom Line: This unit is good for families big or small. With all features mentioned it is foolproof and very durable.

With one owned by my grandmother, I had to go out and buy one of my own. like another poster said hers came with a detachable cord that was very handy. This cord let her fold it up and stuff it in the food pusher. The unit that I purchased has a fixed cord. I will probably end up changing it out. This unit came with the promise that you can place it in a kitchen drawer and it lives up to this promise. Cleanup is very easy with its large cavity. This unit and my grandmothers has been dropped a number of times and with the plastic that these two units are made from and the compact design prevents it from shattering. If left on top of a hot surface the plastic has a very slow melt which keeps it safe to prevent a fire. I left one on top of a toaster oven and the base melted only 1/8 of the way up the unit. With the interlocks where they are and safety switch that does not let the unit operate without the cutter assembly makes this very foolproof. The cutter assembly, the cord and food pusher fits in the same space as 2 professional spatulas. I would only change one thing on this unit and that has been addressed already.
