We were looking at Costco for office supplies for our home office when we decided to get us a new printer. We chose this one because it also had the fax option and the copy function was a plus. It has buttons on the front where you can generate copies and faxes. You can also start copies from the computer.
One thing I have really liked about it is that it has a fast draft feature that you can print or copy an item quickly without using a lot of ink. It prints lightly and very quickly. I use this feature alot and think that it saves me alot of ink.
The fax function is awesome too, it faxes quickly and has a large memory. It doesn't take forever just to scan and send a few pages.
It prints very high quality photos, especially on the glossy photo paper. I was very impressed with the photos that I have printed.
I did have some trouble scanning. I was scanning in pictures and it kept scanning in as documents, then I would have to manually change the file format from a document to a JPEG. It was a real pain. I even went in to the settings and change the default but it still keeps doing it. I don't know what else to do...
