Good solid basic printer

Pros: Very easy setup, quick printing, inexpensive, good documentation

Cons: Noisy when starting up

I have had Epson Printers in the past, and they were always very reliable. I needed a new printer to do basic stuff, and this was a very reasonably priced printer at Office Depot, so I went for it. I just got it, so can't tell you about the amount of ink it will use etc., but it does have some nice features related to being able to graphically see how much ink remains. I was impressed by the set-up directions, very simple and clearly written, and I had the printer up and running in two minutes without a snafu. If you want a basic printer, especially for fast printing of text, I think you couldn't go wrong. This would be an excellent printer for a college student going off to college in the fall.
