Pros: Exceptional print quality. Images match exactly what I saw on my camera.
Cons: It's slow and horizontal bands result when attempting to print from Photoshop.
The Bottom Line: I would strongly recommend this printer for anyone who wants the highest possible print quality for under $400.

It took me a long time to get this printer set up, because I was using my old USB printer cable instead of switching to the USB 2.0 that I bought just after getting the printer. I didn't read anywhere that old USB cables wouldn't work, but it may have been stated someplace. At any rate, once I finally reached wits' end (we're talking several hours trying to install this new printer), I switched to the new cable just to see what would happen.
And what happened was magical.
I'm a Photoshop guy. I've been using that program for several years now to handle all my digital imaging jobs. I've only been using the 925 for a day now, but what I cannot figure out is how to get a super-high quality print going directly from Photoshop. The 8x10s all look good from about 24 inches away, but as you draw closer, the horizontal banding is far too evident, even for the untrained observer.
The printer seems very partial to printing directly from the memory cards and it *really* likes the premium quality photo paper. Using that combination has produced some of the best digital prints I've ever seen - everything in the print is exactly as I achieved in the original digital images.
I'm assuming that I'm going to be spending quite a bit on ink and paper, but the prints are so well worth it. I make my living as a photographer, so I look forward to being able to do more in-house printing instead of having to give away almost 40% of my revenue to a third party 'print house'. Time isn't really an issue - printing from the memory card, the 925 operates totally independently of anything I'm working on (the PC) at the time. The highest quality prints take about 6-8 minutes, but I've had zero complaints about them so far.
Even though I see them selling for very cheap on eBay, I'm not upset about the $230 price tag. There's a $50 rebate and I also got a nice bundle discount from Best Buy on ink and paper when I made the initial purchase.
