Tokada's Full Review: Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 630 InkJet Printer
This is a fine machine as long as you don't expect too much from it. Don't expect to print out lots and lots of color copies. At a speed of only 2 pages a minute, you'll wait forever. Don't expect to receive lots of faxes; it can be a pain to receive, though it's easy to send.
So if you're trying to run even a small business, go for separate components, though you'll spend a lot more. The OfficeJet is good for people who fax a few pages a week, print out a few copies (mostly black and white) and don't scan very often. In other words, it does a lot of things -- but none of them very fast or very well. Even with black and white printing, it isn't perfect. If you print out a letter, be careful not to handle it for a few minutes since the ink is usually wet and can smudge easily, ruining the final product. The paper tray is also rather short, so copies often end up on the floor, especially if you print with 8 1/2 x 14 long paper.
Another downside is the cost of ink cartridges, especially color ones. They can easily run you $30 apiece.
On the positive side, the OfficeJet is super simple to set up and the software loads without problems. It's compact and doesn't take up much desk space for so many combined functions. And it almost never jams. It's also relatively cheap and produces good copies if you're willing to be patient and treat it gently.
