| tracyjenkins's Full Review: Hewlett Packard PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer |
The Hewlett-Packard 2210 is a printer, scanner, copier, fax machine and photo card reader. It truly does it all--and does it well.
The control panel on top of the machine is very simple and makes each task easy to complete. You simply press a large button selecting the task, then make choices and follow instructions show on the display panel. Most tasks take only two button presses to complete. You can also initiate tasks through the software on your computer--also incredibly simple.
I set up the computer with no difficulty, however you do need a USB cable which isn't included with the printer. Normally, printers don't include cables, so this isn't really a drawback, but my old printer didn't need a USB cable so I didn't have one. I picked one up for about $15 at an office supply store.
The first thing I did, once set up, was scan in a photograph. It scanned quickly and clearly and went right into the HP picture editing software that was included. The whole process of scanning and saving the photo was wonderfully quick and simple. The photo was very clear.
Next, I made a color copy of the same photo. This was a copy using regular copy paper and the normal color ink cartridge (not the special photo paper and special photo ink cartridge). When the copy printed, I was very pleased and surprised at the quality.
One of the coolest features of this printer is its ability to pull photos directly from the card from your digital camera. It accepts many different types of cards in the four slots on the front of the printer. After sliding in the card, you can save the photos to your computer or print up a proof sheet that shows all the different pictures on that card. When the proof sheet prints up you simply fill in the circles under each photo you want printed (kind of like taking a multiple choice test in school!) and indicate what size print you want. Next, you scan in the proof sheet and the HP 2210 automatically prints up your pictures. The quality was marvelous. The whole process was, again, incredible simple!
I am very pleased with this new multifunction printer. It works great, looks attractive, was was very affordable. I highly recommend it!
