| cesperian's Full Review: Primera Technology Signature Pro InkJet Printer |
In the dozens of replication jobs I relied on this printer to complete, it only worked without issues twice. Among the problems the most severe (from Photoshop under Win 2000) is that it will only print half of a disc and then stop for no apparent reason. Sometimes it would just not print at all whether or not you went through the "Spooler", an included secondary 32-bit app that is supposed to ease printing tasks. The final prints, when the printer actually works properly, are nowhere as clean as a silkscreened print, the individual inkjet lines blaringly apparent, even at 2400dpi with new cartridges.
Website is poorly assembled. "Free" phone tech support (for certain products only) is not a toll-free number. Unbelieveable that a company would charge so much ( /- $1200 MSRP) for said product and service. For comparisons sake, my $56 HP inkjet has always operated perfectly without issue. One might want to check out the Epson Stylus Photo R300M as an inexpensive alternative (one fifth the price!!).
