Until you print your first photo out with this printer, its hard to describe how gob smacking perfect the end result is.
The colours in the prints are outstanding. I had a Panasonic digital printer before this, but the images were dull, flat and washed out. The Sony printer however has vivid colour reproduction and perfect image quality.
Print a photo out and show it to one of your friends. Then tell them it was done on your digital photo printer and not from a film developer. Chances are they won't believe you because the printed images are so close to the real thing, that they're hard to pick.
The photo paper is quite reasonably priced here in Australia, with a 25pack costing AU$39 - that's about US$0.75 a photo. Now compare that with a roll of 24 or 32 shots, where only a handfull that get printed are worth keeping. You'll probably end up saving money by only printing the photos that are actually worth keeping !!
Its got some great effects too - and allows some nifty creations.
My favourite would have to be the calendar print. A great idea for a Christmas present with your photo and the middle and the 12 months around the outside.
You'll never be sorry that you purchased one of these.
I've had mine now for over a year and a half and I'm still impressed every time I use this !!
It doesn't matter that this is a Sony printer, as you can use a PMCIA adaptor card to take prints from any format that you want. Add to that, the ability to print directly from your PC and you can't go wrong. Sony quality at its best.
