| redwood1967's Full Review: Xerox DocuPrintâ„¢ P8EX Laser Printer |
I have been buying computer hardware of all types for more than fifteen years. This is, without a doubt, the most poorly made printer that I have ever seen.
During the first few days of my relationship with this printer, everything was going swimmingly. But then, the troubles began. The problem is a poorly designed paper feed mechanism that attempts to pull multiple pages at the same time. In turn, this jams up the printer and unhinges the rollers that feed the paper. With these rollers unhinged, the machine is basically useless.
I have managed to establish an uneasy truce with the machine by feeding it paper one sheet at a time. Imagine doing this with a 150 page dissertation, and you will feel my pain.
The installation software was highly usable, and the technical manual was well written. The price was unbeatable. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.
If anyone else has had a similar (or different) experience with this printer, please speak up and tell your story.
