I just recieved this little jewel for my birthday and at first I was sceptical of this mp3 player. First I had never heard of an RCA player but thats ok i thought, it IS my first one. Being unbiased by other products i was very impressed with the little guy. At a decent price and easy compatibility, along with the flash memory system, this little device is well suited for the grizzled veteran or a newbie to the mp3 player market. Also i really enjoyed this device because i also have a HP M407 digital camera which also uses SD memory which is nice if i needed some extra memory for some reason. The ability to be able to use a large memory card(1GB, anyone?) for different prodjects, documents, photos ect..As far as ive experienced, the device has no problem with other things being loaded onto the external memory. Granted this isnt a 20GB Ipod or something but thats expected for the price. As a side note i dont really care for the included earphones, they look kind of ridiculous and are a little hard to get used to,(along with the obscenely ridiculous looking armband), but thats just my opinion.
Another thing i really liked was the fairly large controls on the side, so i could easily change the track or volume ect..in my pocket without fumbling around with it in public and looking like an idiot.
Lastly, the display is nice, it shows you volume levels, battery levels, track, artist, track time, mode(repeat ect..),whether a card is in or not,locked controls,track # on list...
