I got this unit for graduation and absolutely love it. The coolest feature on it is the CD Player. You can actually program the track you want and the volume at which you want to wake up. If you don't use the CD player for the alarm, the standard beep incorporates RCA's graduwake system. What the graduwake system does is start out with a very soft beep and slowly builds up to a loud one. Therefore you aren't suddenly jerked out of your sleep and you will be in a much better mood when you wake up. Another feature I love about this unit is the buttons used to program the alarms. Because there is a CD player on top, it utilizes the skip buttons to change the time. That means that if you accidentally go past the time you want to wake up, you can press the back button and it counts backwards. I always hated it when I went over by a minute or two with my old alarm and I had to hold the button down for another couple of minutes just to get it back to the right time.
Another nice feature is the battery backup. Most alarm clocks have this now but it is still nice to have that security.
Conclusion: Spend the money, buy this unit, you'll love it.
