Pros:Vents well. Lights the range surface very well. Is very sleek and attractive.
Cons:Sheet metal fabrication dimension tolerances are lousy!! Many air leak gaps around the fan shroud!!
The Bottom Line: A good buy if you are adept at making field corrections to manufacturing errors!!
Bought the QS330 at Lowes on special order. It was worth all the research that went into choosing this product. Low noise is the quality most appreciated. Another feature, the delay button which when pressed keeps the fan going for ten minute, is great. The levels of light are also great. The only thing wanting was the damper for circular exhaust pipe. It should have been included. At least the instructions should have mentioned this. I was unable to find one. However, I did find a vent cap for roof venting installation that had a damper built in.
After about eight months of use, I had problems with the light bulbs seating properly and making good connection. I had a very difficult time removing them as they did not want to screw out. I solved the problem when replacing the bulbs: I put a very thin layer of electrical contact grease on the bulb threads. This seems to work great.
I had quite a bit of trouble with the assembly before installation. The Light Panel (Key No. 23) and the Bottom Cover (Key No. 27) did not properly fit into the hood. There was a 1/4 in. gap between the light panel and the hood on the right front corner of the hood, which was very visible from the front. I had to pull the light panel to one side and drill new screw holes in the hood to make everything align and fit properly. This caused the bottom cover to lap over one of the screws which required a cutout in the bottom cover. The bottom line is "the quality of the sheet metal fabrication is NOT ACCEPTABLE".
