I bought the NAD T751 on ebay for $330 US. A great deal. I also own a Harman Kardon AVR 20 Mk II (50 w x 5). This NAD is simply way better than the HK. Much warmer and more detailed sound. The soundstage was breathtaking in all modes, and there was a fine balance and fluidity to the image. The HK is harsh by comparison.
I run Mission 770 Freedom ('89) mains; Wharfedale Diamond 8 rears, and an Energy CR1 centre. BTW, bought all 5 speakers on ebay for $380 US; if you buy wisely, you save hundreds.
The weak link in this system is the Sony DVD/CD player. Time to upgrade.
I have also owned a NAD 3020 amp; Denon PMA-520 amp; SAE amp; Rotel amp. This NAD is by far the best sounding amp I have ever owned. Find one now, preferably used and refurbished [some have transformer problems]with a NEW HTR-1 remote.
