Pros: would take a lot for me to go upgrade to a Cyrus or Niam...
Cons: Still looking.......... give me another 3yrs and I just might find one.
The Bottom Line: I would be mad to concider an upgrade while this still works.

I forget how much I paid for mine now as I bought it as a quick relacement for my last Tech amp wich gave up the ghost suddenly. I didn't even do any reviews, and more or less just bought the first one I saw. (Something I would never recomend) Anyway, I have had the SA-DX940 set up with a Bose acoustimass 10 speaker system for about 3 years. The acoustimass 10 has an extra base speaker (3 In total) two for the front surround, and one for the rear surround base track, that is now included on most new films), I mostly use my amp for music, but Boy! are my friends impressed when I put on a film like 'Saving Private Ryan' or 'We were Soldiers" Jeez, the whole road runs for cover! Base is just amazing, all sounds come from the right part of the room as the soundtrack intendid it to be.
As far as music is concerned, I have my amp on, and in use practically 24/7 (No crap) and this beauty has never, but never let me down in any dept.
I have just added a new speaker system, the Bose flagship model 901's purley for stereo music listining, and wow do they sound just great! I have a big garden at the rear, and this amp runs the Bose 901's at 3/4 power faultlesly filling every nook & cranny with pure sound, yet when played at low volume levels, it plays soft and gentle, not missing on a single note, and the base is still strong. (lucky for me, this amp has a tape-monitor switch to allow the much-needed 901 Equaliser to work correctly).
I also ran 6 Bose 101's that can be used out doors with excellent sound quality in the garden as fixed emplacements, again, effortlesly.
DSP'S? Who need em...... cheap gimicky things anyway, and only cloud your judgement of what it SHOULD sound like! I would rather have NONE!
