I recently purchased this receiver to replace my older Techincs Pro-Logic receiver. I think for the price
(I paid $349.00 Cdn) it's a great deal! the one thing I miss on the new Techincs receivers is the Parametric equalizer that my old one had.

It's basically a digital display with a bar like on a traditional eq which you can raise or lower the settings for each frequency range and then save the settings in the memory. The new receivers including the SADX940
do not have this.

On the plus side the sound is great especially when used to play back DTS encoded dvd's (The main reason I purchased this item!) the only thing I would have liked is some more inputs, I am looking at getting a dish and have no jacks to run it through...
I also question the need for PHONE jacks!?
