Pros: Sounds great, priced right. Lots of inputs and outputs.
Cons: No S-Video in/out.
The Bottom Line: I definitely recommend this receiver to anyone looking for a digital home theater receiver that doesn't break the bank.

| stevelt's Full Review: Technics SA-DX950 5.1 Channels Receiver |
I upgraded from an earlier model Technics receiver in order to take advantage of digital audio. Hookup was relatively simple (after running out to the store to buy the cables I needed), and configuration of the receiver took only a few minutes.
The receiver has support for Dolby Digital / DTS sound. It has 3 digital inputs (1 coax, 2 optical), and more analog inputs than I will ever need. It include surround speaker outs + 2 extra front outs + subwoofer out.
After connecting the receiver to my JBL SCS135 surround sound speaker system, I'm very pleased with the end result.
