I purchased my Tower Aloha Breeze Fan early this summer. We had a broken air conditioner and were managing well with a heavy duty air circulator which cost us quite a bit. Then, there was a particularly humid night, and with an 8 month-old baby tossing and turning through the night, we were not prepared to comfort all of us with just one fan. I purchased the Tower Aloha Breeze at Wal Mart for $45.95 at around 3 AM, returned home about 3:15 and had the fan assembled and running by 3:45.
The Tower Aloha Breeze is our first tower type fan and we absolutely love it! It has a nice remote which controls power level, oscillation, a timer (with intervals of 1/2 hr., 1 hr., 2 hrs., 3 hrs., and 4 hrs.), a delayed oscillation mode, and a high/low interval mode.
We might have assembled the fan in less than a half-hour if the instructions were a little more thorough. My husband and I could not figure out where one remaining screw went and debated on returning the entire unit right then and there. We decided quickly, however, that as long as the fan seemed to operate safely, we wouldn't worry about the mystery screw. In fact, we concluded later that it was an extra part because the fan was sturdily assembled and worked very well.
Our son, who is almost walking, likes to touch the fan when it's not in use (and maybe also when it is) and since there are no holes in the structure where he could stick his finger, unlike other fans, we feel pretty comfortable with the product.
