shamoke's Full Review: Resident Evil 4 for GameCube
In Resident Evil 4, Capcom completely erases the bad name of the Resident Evil series and makes a complete turn around. Forget everything you knew or thought you knew about the R.E. series and brace yourself for a stunning non-stop horror game.If you have not yet played ths game then you should go to the nearest game store near you and pick up a copy of it. Now, if you're one of those people who can't stand zombies and horror then you have nothing to worry about. Of course though, the game isn't all just pretty ponies and flowers, there are some quite scary elements, some being worse then others, but for the majority of the time during the game it's not all too bad. Instead of the same old zombie third person shooter Capcom has taken a new approach to gameplay in Resident Evil. You are not able to run and shoot simuntaneously, but the shooting perspective is brand new. The shooting and aiming is over the shoulder, and you fight an entirely new brand of enemy. As it may not seem like much, but when I played the game it gave me a quite an amount of comfort to know that I was not battling mindless zombies, but instead parasite inflicted villagers. Now there are a couple of down sides to the new enemy, they can run unlike zombies, and they can communicate and possess the capability to use team work to kill you, or kidnap Ashley. I will save the storyplot for you to find out by playing this game, but what I will say that it is quite interesting with suprising secrets.
