This is without a doubt one of the best games ever made. 6 years after its release it is still going strong....especially on-line. I play it frequently and enjoy it as much now as I did when I first bought it. Also, like you I play the expansion which is worth every penny.
I have heard that Blizzard is tentatively thinking about making a Starcraft 2. I think they would be nuts not to as I'm sure it would easily make the list of top selling video games. Lets keep out fingers crossed. Great review.

I LOVE Brood War, maybe even more so than Starcraft, haha. Great expansion, I love it.
Blizzard is hopefully working on a Starcraft 2, if they'd stop doing so much with Warcraft and a Diablo 3 and crap. Diablo II was an alright game, but a third is ridiculous. Focus more on your best for a sequel I always say.

Definatly one of the top ten greatest PC games of all time (when considered a single unit with Brood War). It would seem like a pretty silly marketing theory not to make a Starcraft 2, with all of the fan base the first one generated, but Blizzard either is being EXTREMELY secretive about it or haven't gotten around to doing it :(.
Fond memories of all nighters on battle.net, I think my best account is about 190-20 something.

you gotta beat a certain stage within a short time period. I hope blizzard doesn't clone warcraft 3's mechanics, b/c wc3 sucks (imho).

Yeah dude, addicting as hell. I'm about to install Brood War, so I'll get to play the hidden level whenever it pops up after beating the campaigns unless it's gotten another way.

LOVE THIS GAME. I got it years ago and am still an avid fan. Man, this is a true classic....
One question....
When u find the secret level in the expansion pack, its obviously a cliffhanger and gives clues to Starcraft 2... but.... when the heck is that comin out?

The science vessel voice was done by Harry Shearer, who also did the voice of Mr. Burns.
