Even though Star Craft is over a year older than Tiberian Sun, it is still way better. The game is very enjoyable to play.
The units are well detailed and vary significantly from race to race. They move convincinly for sprites. I just wish that the flying units would land rather than hover.
There are 3 races in total and each one of them is unique. The Protoss mostly have stronger units. The Zerg have a lot of cheap units and they must build on a ‘creep’ that extends form their buildings. The Terran seem to be the most balanced of the three. They are normal, like the humans from Warcraft. There is a plethora of upgrades available to each race.
The game is a blast to play over Battle.net. Lag seems to be a big problem though. It is nearly impossible to get a 2vs2 let alone a 4vs4 game going. The interface needs a major overhaul. There is no instant messenger, or buddy system. The games are also hard to get going as well and are listed poorly.
The single player game is good and they cut scenes are nicely done. The story is all right, so far because I have only gotten to mission 4 of the Terrans.
The music is really, really good. This game definitely has the best music that I have ever heard in a game before.
I recommend this game. Also, be sure to buy the Brood War expansion pack or get it in a bundle. It helps balance out the game, there is new units, music and missions.
