| Burnem1's Full Review: Rockford Fosgate Punch 500a Car Amp |
When I first looked at Rockford Fosgate's Punch 500AII amplifier I noticed it's unmistakeable look. It's style is as much for looks as it is for performance. The design offers better cooling which in term makes the amplifier perform better and last longer. The 500AII, along with it's counterparts, comes with endcaps to insure a professional looking installation. The endcaps hide all of the wires that are needed to hook it up. Performance was unbelievable. At a conservative 250 watts rms by 2 at 4 ohms this amplifier can push some power. Bridged mono at 4 ohms produces 500 watts rms by 1 channel. I hooked it up to a pair of Audiobahn AW1200's which take over 800 watts rms a piece and they produced extreme spl levels. The 500AII also has a very nice crossover feature. The crossover is just a little card that fits in the bottom of the amplifier. Depending on how you put it in depends on what crossover frequency you will achieve. All in all this amplifier is unbelievable. It keeps Rockford on top of the car audio industry.
