I recently bought a 800a2 rockford fosgate punch amp. I have it installed in the back hatch area of my pontiac firebird. I am using it drive my 2 twelve inch subs in a sealed box. It works great. I have the amp bridged into 2 ohms that puts out 400 watts to each sub. I have the rockford punch bass boost up all the way and the gains are a quarter of the way up. The amp is wired using 4 gauge wire from the battery in the front of the car. The ground is also 4 gauge wire. The 4 gauge wire helped the amp alot by supplying more juice to it. The system is loud with amp driving the subs. The only problem I am having right now with this amp is the battery. The amp pulls alot of current off of the battery so when i am driving at night the lights dim drasticly. That problem can easily be fixed with a bigger battery.
