Pros: Low Cost Install (Plug-n-Play)
Sound Quality (Direct Connect)
Ease Of Use (Works with factory radio)
Cons: Have to buy blue color CDR discs
Would prefer black changer.
The Bottom Line: Overall I'd say the Neo Changer is GREAT. Costs about 1/3rd of a factory changer, and has the added feature of playing MP3’s, also works with my existing stereo.

| sandman563's Full Review: SSI America (NEOCHANGER 10MP3) |
I purchased the Neo Changer around the beginning of February from Best Buy and had them install it. All the other changers on the shelf were FM modulated, and when I talked to Audi about getting a changer, they said it would cost $599 - which I was not about to do.
The Neo Changer cost me $249.99 + $50 to install it. Installation for other changers in Best Buy cost $70, I was happy to see the savings on an easy installation were passed on to me (Great Job Best Buy!).
If I had known it was so easy to install and not been so impatient chances are I would have saved a little money and ordered online, but it was nice to get it all done in one shot.
Once installed the changer worked perfectly with standard CD's. I did not really look at the instruction manual since the unit operated with my current car stereo (which I knew how to use already) and with my steering wheel controls (a nice surprise!).
MP3 CD's are another story, at first I was having trouble figuring out why it was skipping when playing MP3 discs, but calling the manufacturer (SSI) I found out that CDR discs are not all the same. They said the changer would work perfectly if I tried using blue CDR's. At first I was a bit skeptical since I'd never heard anything like this before. After buying blue CDR discs and trying them out, I was 100% happy with the changer.
Overall I'd say the Neo Changer is great - it costs about 1/3rd what a factory changer does, has the added feature of playing MP3 CD's (not an option from Audi), and works with my existing stereo so I do not need any wired remote LCD or remote control. I am not sure how long CD changers last, so I grabbed the 3-year warranty so I know I'll be covered.
I'd recommend this changer to anyone lucky enough to have a car compatible with it (It is not compatible with all of them).
