Moving from an apartment to a house I decided to buy a large screen TV. It was a hard decision to make because the only television sets I had purchased in the past were 27". I read many review's on large screen television sets
and really didn't come down to any conclusion. My next step was to see for myself what brand seemed the best for me. Since my living room is 16' by 20', it seemed that 52"-55" would be about right. I went to my local electronic stores
and viewed many sets. The RCA,GE and Magnavox seemed washed
out,I viewed other sets such as Hitachi and Panasonic,which seemed ok. The Toshiba and Sony came down in my opinion to be the best in this category. I then decided on the Toshiba
for it' picture quality seemed better than any other brand.
That weekend I stopped at a local discount electronics store, that had the Samsung TV on. I could not believe the picture quality. I looked at the price tag (1100 Bucks)
for this much picture quality. Well I bought it, and the picture quality is better at home than in the store. It even looks better than my brother's HDTV. Another good feature is the video inputs. There are separate RGB video
inputs for best picture from a DVD,2 S connector inputs,
inputs up front and regular RCA jacks. If you don't have an external amplifier, the audio quality is fantastic with its
30 watt amplifier.The remote is easy, but you have a little learning, to do with it features. The only drawback is you can't defeat the sound when using an external amplifier.It seems the volume control, does all the external functioning.
I have an external cable box that control's the volume so I don't have this problem. Overall a great TV at A great Price.
