Cons:Can't disable alarm w/ single button push/no battery backup
The Bottom Line: I guess my recommendation is to not let your spouse yank any wires out of the back. My decision to replace it with another of the same speaks for itself
My only significant problem with this clock radio is that my wife got PO'd at me and yanked all of the wires out of the back of it. It still works fine, but there's no longer the atomic clock synch. I'm not sure what all of the fuss is about the display. I suppose it has to do with positioning, because mine is quite easy to read. It sits a bit below my eye level because of the bed height in relation to my nightstand. The only thing that's a bit of a pain is having to push two buttons to disable an alarm before it goes off. But, that's pretty minor considering. For those that have complained that it's difficult to use the alarms, it may be the first time or two. However, it's a breeze once you've memorized the sequence. For you simpletons.....it takes far less time than pushing or pulling a dial and then turning it and pulling another dial- as in the older analog clock radios. I agree that it should have a battery backup, but in the two years I've had it, I haven't needed it.
Anyway, I just got finished ordering a replacement for the damaged unit.
