While you may regularly use your toaster instead of this toaster oven, how about trying out a few slices of bread and telling those of us who are looking for a device to toast as well as bake and broil how it works as a toaster. I've returned several "toaster" ovens in the past two weeks because they either took 7 minutes to toast and/or toasted very unevenly. A lot of the toaster oven reviews, even of supposedly high end models, complain of poor toasting abilities, so this is an important feature that it seems a lot of manufacturers overlook.
Also, do the heating elements shut off when you open the door? Is the handle of the door sufficiently placed or insulated so that it's not a safety hazard?

Great review. Reading yours helped me decide to get this model myself. It's supposed to arrive via UPS on Monday. After we have a chance to use it a while, I may review it too.
